How to integrate your telephony with Front?

You can easily link your telephony solution to your Front business communication platform using a CTI integration. The easiest way to do this is to visit the websites of the two publishers: your VoIP phone system and Front’s website to obtain installation instructions. For a Front-Ringover integration, here are the steps to follow:

  1. Make sure you have a Business or Advanced Ringover account and that you are logged in as an administrator. You must also have the administrator role on Front to perform this integration.
  2. Go to Front’s Settings > Inboxes and click the “Add a team inbox” button.
  3. In the drop-down list that appears, click on “Custom”.
  4. Name your inbox, “Ringover Calls” for example.
  5. Choose the channel contact type by clicking on “Phone”, then click on the “Next” button.
  6. On the next screen you can choose the users who will be able to access this inbox and then click on “Create”.
  7. Finally, in the API Endpoints section, copy the link that appears.
  8. Go to the integration section of your Ringover dashboard, then click on the “activate” button on the Front tile.
  9. All you have to do is click on the “authorise” button and paste the url you copied in step 7 in the “calls” and “sms” fields of the “channel URL” section. You will also have the possibility to customise the configuration of the integration.
