How do I integrate my phone with HubSpot?

When you set up a Hubspot phone integration like Ringover, there are different processes for setting up inbound and outbound numbers.

Here is the process to set up an inbound phone number.

  1. Login to your Hubspot account.
  2. Click on the settings button in the main navigation bar.
  3. Click on calling in the left menu.
  4. Once you see the phone numbers tab, click get a Hubspot number.
  5. You’ll see a panel on the right. Check if the information is correct, then click next.
  6. With the dropdown menus, select a country and area code. Then select Generate a number.
  7. If this phone number is acceptable, click Get this number. Keep in mind this means you’ll use one of the Hubspot numbers.
  8. If you would like to assign this number to a user on your account and add another number for forwarding, click Continue to set up.
  9. Choose Assign a user from the dropdown menu and choose a user with an assigned Sales Hub or Service Hub seat.
  10. In order to forward inbound calls made to the Hubspot number to another number, click Edit in the Forwarding number box.
  11. Then, enter a phone number in the dialog box.
  12. You’ll then need to verify that phone number through an SMS or phone call, so click Text me or Call me.
  13. Enter the code and click Verify.
  14. On the right side, click Save. Now you’ve finished setting up the Hubspot-provided number for inbound calling.

Here is the process to set up an outbound phone number for your Hubspot phone integration. Don’t try to set up a toll-free number as an outbound calling number, this is not possible within Hubspot.

  1. Login to your Hubspot account and click the settings button in the main navigation bar.
  2. On the left side, click on General.
  3. Select the Calling tab.
  4. If it’s not already connected, select Connect calling.
  5. Click Add phone number. Enter your number and extension if you have one.
  6. You’ll need to verify your number. Select whether you’d like to verify through SMS or phone call.
  7. Once you’ve made your selection, you’ll receive a code through your preferred method. Now you’ve finished setting up your number for outbound calling.

Does HubSpot integrate with VoIP?

Yes, Hubspot does integrate with VoIP phone services, if the VoIP offers that particular integration among their options. You can usually check if an integration is available between a VoIP software and Hubspot on their websites–they generally have lists available.

There is also a VoIP service within Hubspot, which includes features like call recording and auto-logging of customer interactions. However, this service is only available in the premium versions of Sales Hub and Service Hub.
